Carrington wins at the Professional Clothing Awards

Award for Best Fabric and Fibre

Success for both our Flamestat Satin and Flametougher

Carrington is celebrating after a double win at The Professional Clothing Awards in the Best Fabric and Fibre Innovation category.

One of Europe’s largest workwear manufacturers, Carrington was recognised at the ceremony, which took place as part of the Professional Clothing Show in London, for two new flame-retardant fabrics.

The Flamestat Satin 225 Pro2 won first place, with Carrington’s Flametougher 280AS fabric taking third place.

Flametougher has been developed for workers operating in particularly challenging environments – such as oil refineries – where there is a demand for multi-norm fabrics with both flame retardant and antistatic properties.

Developed in close collaboration with CORDURA® fabric, Flametougher utilises CORDURA® NYCO fabric technology for long-lasting performance, helping to extend the lifespan of garments.

Retaining the same long-lasting flame retardant qualities of Flametougher, Flamestat Satin 225 Pro2 is a lightweight, comfortable fabric that has been designed to meet today’s increasing demand for multipurpose garment requirements.

Certified to all relevant flame retardant, antistatic, chemical splash and high visibility requirements, the two fabrics meet the demand for multi-norm fabrics with both flame retardant and antistatic properties.

Designed to remain breathable and keep the wearer dry in the most challenging conditions, Flamestat highlights Carrington’s commitment to pioneering innovative technology, always with the wearer front of mind.

Charles Wilson, sales manager at Carrington said: ‘‘The Professional Clothing Show was the perfect space for us to launch our two new flame retardant fabrics. The fact that both were winners in the Fabric and Fibre Innovation category at the awards is fantastic and I’m thrilled that we’ve walked away with an award for the second year running.’’
