Why we jumped at the chance to back this potential winner

Meet Charlotte and O’Donovan’s Courage, AKA ‘Brian’ to his friends

We presented Brian with the gift of a handsome show rug in Carrington fabric

Talent, focus, personality and confidence – we admire all of these qualities in a youngster. Especially if they come with a spirited attitude and winning disposition.

So we were delighted with what we saw in ‘Brian’, as he’s known to his friends at the stables where he lives. (His official full name is O’Donovan’s Courage, but let’s not be too formal.) A seven year old bay gelding, Brian is already making a big impression in the show jumping ring - recently finishing third out of 43 starters in the British Discovery class event at the prestigious Northcote Stud. And along with our warmest applause, we were happy to give him his own very handsome bespoke show rug. Very fittingly, this was made in Carrington fabric by one of our customers, leading specialist Teviot Equine Design. The gift was our way of adding the Carrington name to the growing list of admirers that this promising newcomer has attracted, and at the same time supporting our own people in their endeavours in sport and other activities.

Brian is owned by Charlotte Kilroy, who as Key Account Manager is an important part of the team here at Carrington. He’s one of a string of horses trained and ridden at events all over the country by Charlotte, who is affiliated to the British Show Jumping League.

At Carrington we always have one eye on the future and believe in planning for what lies ahead in a highly competitive field. Which is why we’ve collected our own share of major awards in recent years for outstanding performance, thanks to this forward-looking policy plus the expertise and dedication of our people.

We like to think we’re always one jump ahead in spotting potential talent, choosing promising newcomers, training them well - and taking them through to successful careers.
