Carrington’s Continued Support For Local Charity

Derian House Children’s Hospice

Donating to help the lives of children, young people and families in the area

For many years, Carrington and Pincroft have been donating to Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley. They provide a range of care for children with life-limiting conditions, offering vital support to over 500 families. With a hydrotherapy pool, sensory garden and wheelchair-inclusive playground, Derian House helps these children to make the very most out of the time they have. This January we have donated a further £7,000 to help them continue the amazing work they do.

Elaine Middleton, Corporate Fundraiser at Derian House said: “On behalf of Derian House I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Carrington for their generous donation. Derian’s doors are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and it takes just under £4m a year to keep us running. Carrington’s donation will have a tremendous impact on the lives of the children, young people and families that we care for and who rely on us.”

The £7,000 donation consists of £1,000 raised by a raffle during the Christmas party of which the company doubles in value to £2,000 and the annual £5,000 company Christmas donation in lieu of Christmas cards and gifts.

Also special thanks goes out to Adrian Kirkpatrick, who donated his raffle prize of a TV to the hospice. Adrian presented Elaine Middleton from Derian House with the cheque and TV earlier this month.
