Carrington celebrate win at Future Textile Awards

Flameflex 275 takes home the trophy

Following on from our success in 2016

We’re thrilled to announce that Carrington’s Flameflex 275 has won Best Innovation in the Protective Textiles category at the Future Textile Awards, which took place on November 7, 2018 in Amsterdam.

Launched in 2014 by the World Textile Information Network, these awards celebrate success in textile innovation and honour the essential work of the many businesses that support the industry.

This is the second time we have been awarded by the Future Textile Awards after our Flameban Max 310 took home gold in 2016 and we are delighted to have been recognised once again for our commitment to innovation.

Our continuous investment in research and development has helped us understand the needs of today’s workforce, who require a protective fabric married with additional qualities such as durability and comfort.

Flameflex 275 is our first ‘three-in-one’ industrially launderable flame-retardant fabric with stretch qualities. This garment provides extra protection to everyday workers, through meeting EN 11611, 11612 and 14116 accreditations, but without compromising on ease of movement for the worker. It can also maintain these vital properties after industrial laundering at temperatures of up to 75 degrees, extending the fabric’s lifecycle.

We pride ourselves in prioritising worker wellbeing and the Flameflex 275 is no exception. Well done to our hard-working team!
