Garment of the Month: Clinitex’s Niobe I and Pallas smocks made with our Petra fabric

From Clinitex

This Garment of the Month edition comes all the way from Czech Republic, featuring Clinitex’s excellent ‘Niobe I’ and ‘Pallas’ smocks worn in a number of hospitals in the central European country and made with our poly-cotton Petra.

Niobe I is a women’s smock ‘princess style’, with buttons and V-neck. This short sleeved garment has two patched front pockets and textile piping to enhance body silhouette. While the ‘Pallas’ smock for men, has a neckline and sleeve knit trim for a smart look and two zipped pockets.

Clinitex has used Carrington Textiles fabric Petra for this collection, that with a 60% cotton and 40% polyester composition offers a great balance between comfort and durability. At a weight of 185 GSM, Petra has been engineered to survive the rigours of healthcare laundries yet remaining soft and comfortable next to the skin. It features a 4/1 satin weave providing superior handle and drape, yet a dense construction reducing transparency.

Created in 1993 and with headquarters in the Ostrava, Clinitex is a producer and distributor of healthcare garments, focusing on textile rental and end users.

Petr Bukovski, Clinitex’s CEO says:“ We are pleased to work closely with Carrington Textiles to produce this outstanding healthcare collection with their specialised fabric. The quality and comfort their products offer are world class and they always strive to satisfy our needs.”
