We are proud to announce the donation of £2,000 to the LSFA Girls U14 to support the purchase of their 2020-21 away kit and a VEO camera that allows games to be filmed without the need of an operator.
A new yellow match shirt boasting the Carrington Textiles and LSFA logos is part of this away kit that the girls are proud to wear when representing Lancashire’s football in other counties.
In terms of the VEO camera acquired as part of the donation, Michael Nadal part of U14’s Management Team at LSFA said: “This device has allowed the coaches to analyse games and the players to watch and see themselves in action, this way they can manage their performance. Players will also have access to their own highlights package which they can use towards future American scholarship applications, so it really is a life-changing opportunity for the girls. It will also benefit our U16’s team as well so it is a double thanks from us!”
Carrington Textiles’ MD, Neil Davey, added: “The County Schools football programme is made up of volunteers who dedicate their time in providing these girls with the best experience possible to represent the county, and at Carrington Textiles we couldn’t think of a better way to support our local community and the next generation of sportswomen than funding these girls’ future in football”.
National Champions in 2020, and five times winners since the competition’s inception in 2013, the LSFA Girls U14 is a team selected from all the schools across Lancashire, uniting players from Liverpool FC, Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United, Manchester City and other elite teams. Other wins include Kent CSFA in 2017 and Essex CSFA in 2019.
