It’s been an eventful 12 months or so here at Carrington with many changes for the better. These include exciting new additions to our fabric portfolio, offering innovative ways to protect against conditions in many different types of working environments. You’ll find full details on the relevant pages of this site – but here’s a brief synopsis.
Hudson 200 is a lightweight hardwearing fabric for use in trousers, jackets and shirts. It incorporates a ripstop in the weave for technical and aesthetic properties. The soft finish provides good handle and wear comfort.
A lightweight poly/cotton fabric that has been specifically developed for men’s and women’s shirts, blouses and light working apparel e.g scrub suits for paediatric wards. The twill weave provides a comfortable fabric with excellent drape properties.
A lighter weight 4/1 satin offering superior handle and drape, yet a dense construction reducing transparency. Cotton rich so it is ideal for use in higher working temperatures such as food, beauty or healthcare sectors. It is industrially launderable even at the lighter weight of 185gsm.
Cadiz has been designed to keep the wearer cool, comfortable and looking smart all day long. Utilising a 50/50 cotton/polyester blend, Cadiz combines the natural, soft, breathable properties of cotton, with the strong, flexible and abrasion resistant properties of polyester. Cadiz has Carrington’s easy care crease resistant finish, and has excellent colourfastness properties due to the Vat/Disperse dyes as standard.
Cresta Hi Vis Yellow
Cresta is our heavier-weight EOL polyester cotton blended, Industrial launderable fabric. Engineered to deliver permanent elasticity and stretch, Cresta lends itself to jackets, trousers and tunics in a range of high mobility working environments. Cresta offers durability, comfort and fit, maintaining its integrity under repeated wash and wear cycles.
Levico is an industrially launderable 2 way stretch fabric for optimal comfort in wear. This blend of polyester with branded LYCRA® and COOLMAX® technology offers high abrasion properties for demanding end uses, combined with optimum stretch, moisture management and wicking performance. (Swing tickets are available on request). This fabric is primarily designed for trousers or jackets used in highly mobile end uses, giving the wearer maximum comfort.
Flame Retardant fabrics
Flamestat 360 WS
Flamestat 360 WS is a polyester reinforced fabric combining flame retardant and anti-static properties. It is ideal for use in refineries and industries using solvents or flammable gasses. It is certified to EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 14116, EN 1149 & EN 61482-1-1.
We are excited to announce the launch of a new flame-retardant product to complement our hugely successful stretch range that was launched in 2017. Flameflex 275 is Carrington’s first industrially launderable stretch flame retardant product, combining the need to be full certified to the rigours of FR performance along with the comfort and durability of a stretch product we believe Flameflex 275 will be the first of many FR stretch fabrics Carrington will bring to the market.
At 275gsm its perfectly suited to be a mid-weight comfortable FR fabric meeting EN 11611,11612 and 14116. Initially offered in 5 stock supported colours Flameflex 275 is the perfect solution to the textile market where functionality alongside safety is key.
A dyed 228 Decitex nylon plain weave, coated with PU and a fluorocarbon finish on the face for water repellency. Perfect for linings in products such as utility pouches, tactical belts and backpacks etc.
A hardwearing and durable warp knit mesh fabric for pouches, pockets and trim on equipment.
Cleveland Pro 2
A flame retardant waterproof and breathable drop liner, designed for use in high performance FR garments requiring additional waterproof properties, whilst retaining comfort in wear due to high breathability membrane and cotton content next to skin. Initial contract received on UK Police Public Order Suits used in conjunction with alternative outer fabrics. Excellent handle and drape. Fully tapeable using recommended PTFE tape for seam sealing.
