It’s been an eventful 12 months or so here at Carrington with many changes for the better. These include exciting new additions to our fabric portfolio, offering innovative ways to protect against conditions in many different types of working environments. You’ll find full details on the relevant pages of this site – but here’s a brief synopsis.
Because we understand our customers commitment to a more sustainable and responsible world, and what this means to the end user, we have developed the Balance Range by Carrington, a selection of fabrics that are manufactured using environmentally friendly processes without compromising on the quality of our products.
Kara combines the comfort of cotton with the hardwearing properties of polyester, suitable for shirting and blousewear. The twill weave means Kara will give softer drape for improved handle. In a lightweight of 140gsm, Kara is ideal for working in warm climates and can be washed at very high temperatures.
Molveno is an industrially launderable 4-way stretch fabric for optimal comfort in wear. This blend of polyester with branded LYCRA® and COOLMAX® technology offers high abrasion properties for demanding end uses, combined with optimum stretch, moisture management and wicking performance. This fabric is primarily designed for trousers or jackets used in highly mobile end uses, giving the wearer maximum comfort.
Varese is our mid weight Tencel™ addition to the popular EOL Stretch Collection. Blended with Lenzing Tencel™, polyester and EOL, the Tencel™ offers an Eco-friendly fibre with the cellulosic base generating moisture management properties. This industrially launderable fabric offers durability, comfort and a smooth feel against the skin. Varese maintains its shape, vitality and elasticity under repeated wash cycles.
Flame Retardant fabrics

Flamestat Satin 300
There’s now an even wider choice in our multifunctional workwear fabrics. The latest innovation is a heavier version of our successful multifunctional Flamestat Satin 225 – and it delivers even greater suitability wherever a heavier duty performance is demanded. Just like Flamestat Satin 225, this new version is certified to all relevant flame retardant, antistatic, chemical splash and high visibility requirements. Flamestat Satin 300 also offers a new level of comfort along with enhanced performance characteristics. This comes from the twin benefits of having polyester on the face of the fabric and cotton on the reverse.
