Carrington supplies Madagascan primary school with 100 new uniforms

Fitroafana Primary School in Madagascar

Carrington, joined forces with Alsico and E-toile to produce garments

From kitting out Adlington Junior Football Club to championing Chorley’s youth centre, Inspire, we love supporting local causes. For our latest venture however, we’ve looked a little further afield… all the way to Madagascar!

Having a school uniform that students feel comfortable in and love putting on in the morning should be a given for every child; however, this is not always the case for many children around the world. That’s why we’re thrilled to have joined forces with Alsico and E-toile, to donate the fabric for more than 100 uniforms, which will be worn by students at The Fitroafana Primary School in Madagascar.

Made from our Alba 2 fabric, this durable textile can stand up to the rigours of playground games and those all-important regular washes after a day of finger painting! It’s also one of our more lightweight fabrics which is perfect for the sunny climates of Madagascar where temperatures are typically 30 degrees Celsius all year round.
